My site information simply does not back up.
I chose to back up with dropbox and when I go on my dropbox there is no zip file.
How can I back up all images and text on my wordpress site so that if I lose my site I can use all that data to have the site up and running again?

Please can you provide a link to your log file for the problematic backup? (You can download it from the "Existing Backups" tab of your UpdraftPlus settings page).
It'll be too long to paste into the forum here, but you can download it to your computer, and share it with Dropbox, or paste it in pastebin.com, or any similar service, and post the link here.

Hi all,
Whenever I go to restore a backup using the UpdraftPlus plugin [Version 1.11.15] I see the following message on the page.
Warning: Your WordPress installation has a problem with outputting extra whitespace. This can corrupt backups that you download from here. Please consult this FAQ for help on what to do about it.
After reading through the provided link I found that the problem is with the custom theme I'm using (no issue when I switch to a provided theme such as TwentyTwelve) - deactivating Plugins does nothing to help.
I get that the issue is with extra whitespace, but I've no idea what to do next (what to even look for among my files to suss out the problem) other than ask you fine people for help.

You're not aware of it but please don't put [Plugin: Updraft Plus Backup / Restore] (now deleted) in topic titles. It doesn't do anything and that's not how the plugin support works here.
When you post in that plugin's sub-forum then that will happen automatically.
Can you repost your question in with this link?

Hi Muthu,
The log shows that the backups are not completing. It appears that the backup is proceeding extremely slowly, and is eventually killed off. For example, it takes 2 seconds to write the second line of the log file. Normally, this should take a fraction of a second.
Could you contact your hosts and ask them what the I/O (read/write speed) limit is on your server?
It would also be useful to ask them to investigate the load on the server at the time of the backups.

Thank you for the quick response. I contacted my hosting and found that the I/O limit is set to 1MBPS and they also told that during the time of backups it hits the limit of 1MBPS.
Please let me know how to proceed on this.

I just purchased UpdraftPlus Migrator and trying to delete free version.
Per instructions on this page https://updraftplus.com/support/installing-updraftplus-premium-your-add-on/ I deativated UpdraftPlus (free), but when I tried to delete it several times and I got this error message:
"Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin(s) updraftplus/updraftplus.php."
Please advise.

Well the delete option didn't work but when I selected the UpdraftPlus check box, then went to Bulk Actions > Delete > Apply the UpdraftPlus plugin deleted?! Is there a bug in the application?!

Ok, I am trying to delete UpdraftPlus from the another destination site and get the error message "Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin(s) updraftplus/updraftplus.php."
The delete and Bulk Actions > Delete > Apply options don't work.
Please advise.

Though I have freed up over 2.5gb of space, UDP is still saying I only have 32mb of space left.

Hi Muthu,
This I/O limit is the issue. If you cannot raise this, then backups are going to run slowly.
You may wish to take a backup of any sections that do not update often (such as plugins or themes), store them in a safe place, then exclude them from the scheduled backups. This will give more time for the other sections of the backup to complete.

Please can you explain further? It's not obvious to me why there's necessarily a discrepancy between one message telling you that during your last backup run, at the end of June, you had a certain amount of free space, and another telling you what your current space usage, ~ 3 weeks later, is.

Hi Team,
We're facing issue while doing restoration of sites using updraftplus plugin and restoration log stops updating and below message is coming always.
UpdraftPlus: Unfinished restoration
You have an unfinished restoration operation, begun 5 minutes, 33 seconds ago.
If we say continue restoration, then it's generating new log file, and new log file also stops updating and this repeats.
At last, don't know how it's deleting previously downloaded zip files itself in server level. Finally it says missing XYX_themes.zip file and restoration failed.
I don't know what is wrong with plugin here, why is it failing every time?
