dfumagalli on "[Plugin: UpdraftPlus Backup and Restoration] Scheduler works but backup won't happen"

Hello,

I've installed this plugin and it worked awesomely... once. Then I have not changed anything in the website for some days. No new plugins nothing. Here's the screenshot showing the succesful run in green.

Today I've decided to upgrade to WordPress 4.3 and to update some plug ins. I've deleted the existing backup by pressing the various buttons and then I have pressed "Esegui Backup" (= Start Backup in English) like I have done the first time. But now nothing happens. It just keeps saying it'll schedule a resumption (NN) until it gives up.

I have tried the advanced tools immediate backup (both regular and database only) and neither of them work.

It's odd, because the backup worked the first time. Furthermore, this is not some resource starved $2.99/mo shared hosting but a dedicated 2GB RAM VPS with just this website on it.
